MGH Wins Best in Show Award for OLD BAY Work for Second Consecut

The agency also received the most awards of any agency – eight Gold and two Silver awards – at the 42nd annual ADDY Awards hosted by the American Advertising Federation of Baltimore

BALTIMORE (March 11, 2016) – MGH, a full-service marketing communications agency, today announced it won 10 awards – the most of any agency in Baltimore – in addition to taking home the coveted Best in Show award for the second year in a row for its OLD BAY HOT launch newspaper ad at last night's ADDY awards, sponsored by the American Advertising Federation of Baltimore (AAFB). This marks the fifth time in eight years the agency has won the evening’s top prize.

The agency received eight Gold and two Silver awards for creative excellence on advertising campaigns conducted on behalf of clients OLD BAY and The Greene Turtle Sports Bar & Grille. Gold awards will move on to the District II ADDYs competition, which features work from agencies throughout the region, including New York and Washington, D.C. Last year, MGH received Gold ADDYs at both the regional and national levels for a two-page print ad it created for OLD BAY's 75th anniversary, which featured an image of crabs atop a newspaper full of fake, OLD BAY-infused news.

  • Consumer Campaign – Local: OLD BAY HOT Launch Campaign (Gold)
  • Online/Interactive Campaign: OLD BAY HOT Launch Banner Campaign (Silver)
  • Guerilla Marketing – Single Occurrence: OLD BAY Jetway (Silver)

The ADDY competition is the industry's largest and most representative competition, attracting more than 40,000 entries every year in local ADDY competitions. Gold winners from the show will automatically move on to the regional District II competition, competing with agencies from Delaware, Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Washington, D.C. A win at the District level guarantees moving on to the National ADDY competition.
