Media Assistant


MGH, a full-service advertising and public relations agency, is looking for an entry level Media Assistant to work with our media team, working directly with Media Buyers and Planners.

The Media Assistant will assist in the day-to-day operation and maintenance of all media accounts. This indiviudal is expected to learn the company's media procedures and processes as well as bring fresh ideas and insights to the department. The Media Assistant also needs to have a strong desire to learn about the growing field of interactive advertising.

Responsibilities:

• Work under the supervision of the Media Buyers and Planners to learn the process of planning and buying media
• Assist in developing media strategies
• Gather planning information, contact sales representatives for rates and other information
• Develop Point of Views (POVs)
• Send out insertion orders
• Assist in preparing media flowcharts and presentation materials
• Create post analysis reports
• Reconcile media invoices
• Build and maintain relationships with sales representatives
• Keep current with market research and industry trends

Qualifications:

A college graduate in the field of Advertising/Mass Communication or related business degree as well as the following:

• Strong math and problem solving skills
• Detail oriented and the ability to multitask
• Excellent organization skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools; primarily Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• An interest in learning about media
• Ability to prioritize many projects
