PR Account Executive

MGH, a full-service agency in Owings Mills, is looking for a Public Relations Account Executive to join its growing staff. We're looking for a dynamic individual with one to three years of relevant PR agency or internship experience.

MGH was a recent winner of prestigious Silver Anvil Awards and works with clients such as Papa John's Pizza, Ocean City Maryland, Suburban Hospital, University of Maryland University College and the American Psychological Association.

The Account Executive position involves:

• Drafting press materials, including press releases, media alerts/advisories, bios, fact sheets, contributed columns, etc.
• Pitching news media and maintaining regular contact with the press.
• Researching industry trends.
• Event planning support.
• Providing general day-to-day account support, including client relations.
• Implementing and assisting in the development of strategic PR and marketing campaigns.

Interested candidates should possess:

• 1-3 years of PR experience - agency experience is preferred.
• Strong writing skills.
• Media pitching skills.
• Organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
• A creative mind with insightful and inventive ideas.
• Tenacity and passion for public relations.
• General knowledge of social media and word of mouth marketing.
• A good sense of humor.
