Public Relations Account Executive

We are looking for a top-notch Public Relations Account Executive to join our growing staff. We're seeking someone with 2-4 years of relevant PR agency experience with stellar writing capabilities, ability to multi-task and provide support for clients in a wide variety of industries. Event planning is required for this position.

Ideal candidates must demonstrate previous success in traditional and non-traditional media relations and be able to thrive in a fast-paced, but fun working environment. Basic responsibilities for this position include drafting press materials, media relations, event planning management and client account support.

The qualified candidate must be skilled at managing several projects at one time, including some that do not have a media relations element, such as events or grassroots marketing programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute tactical elements of public relations plan(s) with precision, communicating effectively as client and agency liaison when coordination with other departments is required
• Tactical elements include:
o Developing/updating media lists
o Drafting media materials
o Pitching media
o On-site media management
o Collecting/analyzing media coverage
o Event planning and management
o Partnership development
o Reporting campaign success to clients
• Use AP style at all times for all writing
• Work in tandem with senior account team members to manage client expectations
• Develop strategic planning skills (with guidance from Account Director/Manager)
• Multi-task and thrive while working under very tight deadlines
• Monitor industry trends and keep department and clients apprised of changes in media landscape
• Work well as part of a large team - be adaptable to working with different types of personalities
• Look for ways to gain experience in all facets of traditional and new media
• Present agency ideas directly to clients in email, conference calls and in-person meetings, as directed by Account Director/Manager
