MGH takes home 21 ADDYs and wins Best of show
BALTIMORE (April 3, 2009) - MGH, a full-service marketing communications agency, today announced that - for the second consecutive year - it has won the prestigious overall "Best of Show" honor at the Baltimore ADDY Awards, in recognition of the "Oceans Evaporating" campaign created on behalf of Ocean City, Md. MGH took home a total of 21 ADDY awards, including 12 Gold and 9 Silver awards - the most of any agency - as well as the "Best of Show - Print" award for its Steakburger campaign for Roseda Beef.
"To receive the prestigious ‘Best of Show' honor for the second year in a row is a true testament to our out-of-the-box thinking and dedication to providing our clients with campaigns that stand out and exceed expectations," said Andy Malis, president of MGH. "At MGH, we pride ourselves on providing the highest quality of work through our integrated capabilities in order to help our clients achieve their business goals and rise above the competition through clever, creative work."
MGH's overall "Best of Show" award recognized its multi-media "Oceans Evaporating" campaign developed for longtime client, Ocean City, Md. The tongue-in-cheek TV, radio and print campaign create a sense of "urgency" for citizens to book their Ocean City vacations before the oceans evaporate in one billion years. This two-day ad blitz ran across the mid-Atlantic, generating widespread buzz for Ocean City on websites, blogs and media outlets across the country.
The Baltimore ADDY Awards, sponsored by the Advertising Association of Baltimore (AAB), is one of the biggest annual events, celebrating the best in creative advertising. For more than 30 years, the AAB has worked with members, volunteers, local businesses, area colleges and universities, media outlets and sponsors to celebrate the best creative work coming out of Baltimore. Gold winners automatically move on to the regional District Two competition, competing with agencies from Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, Delaware, Virginia and Washington, D.C. A win at the District level guarantees moving on to the National ADDY Competition.
