MGH Wins Three Silver ADDY Awards in District Two Competition

BALTIMORE (May 25, 2010) - MGH, an integrated marketing communications agency, today announced that it has won three silver awards at the regional, District Two ADDY competition, hosted by the American Advertising Federation. All three awards recognize MGH for its interactive media campaign - "Rugs for the People" - on behalf of client Alex Cooper Auctioneers. The District Two competition includes agencies and advertisers from New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware and the District of Columbia.

"Rugs for the People" was a multimedia campaign designed to highlight a traditional product - an Oriental rug sale - in a creative way, while also emphasizing the affordability of Alex Cooper Auctioneers' selection. The campaign resulted in one of the best sales in Alex Cooper's 100-year history.

"We're thrilled to receive three awards at the District Two level - competing against some of the largest agencies in New York," said John Patterson, EVP, creative director at MGH. "Our approach to any creative project is to make the ads standout and get people talking, while also driving sales. This campaign grabbed the attention of the community in a way ordinary sale advertising doesn't."

Last month, MGH won 27 awards - the most of any agency - at the 36th annual Baltimore ADDYs, hosted by the American Advertising Federation (AAF) of Baltimore. The ADDY competition is the industry's largest and most representative competition - attracting more than 50,000 entries every year in local ADDY competitions. The mission of the ADDY competition is to recognize and reward creative excellence in the art of advertising.

Hello, we're MGH! A Baltimore, Maryland advertising agency, public relations firm, interactive development company, word of mouth agency, guerilla marketing firm, design agency, viral marketing firm, and social media marketing company, all rolled into one. It's like a bunch of agencies, but that takes a while to say. So we simply call what we do "modern marketing." It means being able to employ every available communications medium to sell, promote, and otherwise market our clients – whether they are in Baltimore, Washington, D.C., or Philadelphia. We've been at it since 1995 with great success. Take a look.
