National Aquarium selects MGH as agency of record

MGH chosen to increase attendance and membership on a regional and national level
through creative advertising, interactive and word of mouth campaigns

BALTIMORE (March 9, 2009) - MGH, a full-service marketing communications agency, today announced that it has been selected as agency of record by the National Aquarium, Maryland's most exciting and popular cultural attraction, as well as one of the region's leading conservation and education resources. MGH, which previously handled media planning and buying for the attraction, was retained to reinforce the brand of the Aquarium and to encourage attendance by highlighting the new dolphin show, "Our Ocean Planet" opening April 4, 2009, and the new exhibit, "Jellies Invasion: Oceans out of Balance" opening Memorial Day weekend, among other assignments. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

"We selected MGH because of its integrated capabilities and marketing experience, which now allows us to consolidate our marketing efforts into one agency," said Denise Aranoff-Brown, Senior Director of Marketing for the National Aquarium. "We're confident that MGH's expertise will help raise brand awareness of the National Aquarium, its offerings, exciting exhibits and conservation efforts on a regional and national level."

MGH will develop and implement a branded multi-media campaign consisting of regional advertising, interactive services and word of mouth marketing campaigns. The agency has been tasked by the National Aquarium to create campaigns that communicate a sense of urgency for targeted events.

"Our knowledge in destination marketing, full service capabilities and unique approaches to marketing makes this partnership the perfect combination for success," said MGH President Andy Malis. "We look forward to using our expertise and integrated services to raise awareness for the National Aquarium and increase attendance in 2009."
