Retailer of the Week: Smyth Jewelers

MGH developed a QR code campaign for Smyth Jewelers, called 15 Deals, 15 Days. Smyth was the feature retailer in JCK Magazine, as it was one of the first retail jewelers to implement a QR code into its marketing mix.

The article discusses the campaign, which included a large, 20' x 20' QR code banner that hung from its Timonium store, and featured deals like an autographed NFL official football signed by Baltimore Raven Ray Rice and a free bracelet with a $25 purchase. "We've done some other QR-code based campaigns for other clients, but we designed this campaign to do more than just offer consumers deals. Considering how difficult it is to breka through the holiday clutter, we wanted to use the QR code in such a way that it would also grab consumers' attention and generate organic word of mouth," commented MGH's Social Media Marketing Director, Ryan Goff.

Hello, we're MGH! A Baltimore, Maryland advertising agency, public relations firm, interactive development company, word of mouth agency, guerilla marketing firm, design agency, viral marketing firm, and social media marketing company, all rolled into one. It's like a bunch of agencies, but that takes a while to say. So we simply call what we do "modern marketing." It means being able to employ every available communications medium to sell, promote, and otherwise market our clients – whether they are in Baltimore, Washington, D.C., or Philadelphia. We've been at it since 1995 with great success. Take a look.
