MGH (based in Hunt Valley, MD as of April 25, 2022), a full-service marketing communications agency recognized as one of Ad Age’s 2019 Best Places to Work, is seeking an entry-level Media Assistant to support our media team in the planning and buying of traditional media advertising (radio, television, cable, print, outdoor) for our clients. The selected candidate will assist in the day-to-day operation and maintenance of traditional media accounts.
What You’ll Do:
- Work under the supervision of the Media Buyers and Planners to learn the process of planning and buying traditional media (radio, television, print, outdoor)
- Gather planning information, contact sales representatives for rates and assist in requesting proposals from vendors
- Assist in organizing proposals from reps and print publishers
- Prepare insertion orders for client campaigns
- Assist in preparing media flowcharts and presentation materials
- Create post analysis reports
- Reconcile media invoices
- Build and maintain relationships with sales representatives via phone, email, and in person
- Keep current with market research and industry trends
What We Want from You:
- A degree in the field of Advertising/Communications or related business degree
- Desire to work in a team setting and in a support role
- Ability to create casual conversation/build rapport with vendors
- Creative thinker and problem solver with awesome interpersonal skills
- Strong math and analytical skills
- Ability to adapt to constant change
- Knows how to have fun with a positive outlook while maintaining a professional and serious work ethic

- Detail oriented and the ability to multitask while demonstrating effective time management
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Previous internship experience in a related field will be considered a plus
