Watershed Distillery, maker of the top-selling Ohio-made bourbon in Ohio, began working with MGH in the summer of 2025, as it was seeking help in reversing more than a year of declining sales, especially in its home market of Columbus. We needed to remind bourbon drinkers in the Columbus area that the best bourbon offerings in the state could be found in their own backyard.

We launched a fully integrated campaign — outdoor in high-traffic downtown and suburban areas, paid social, paid search and PR — targeting high bourbon-drinking ZIP codes with fresh creative that communicated Ohio pride and gave our target audience reasons to believe in the superiority of Watershed’s bourbons.

Within the first two months of the campaign, Columbus-area sales have rebounded, leveling off close to September and October 2024 sales numbers, after a spring and summer filled with 15-25% monthly declines in YOY sales.
